Tests and treatment

Testing may be recommended

If influenza, COVID-19, or another infection is suspected, we may direct you to a medical facility that can perform the appropriate test.

Treatment is determined from your symptoms and clinical course

The doctor will assess whether medicines such as fever reducers, pain relievers, or cough suppressants are needed. Antibiotics are considered only when a bacterial infection is suspected.
