ABOUT YOUR SYMPTOMS

Continuing treatment for lifestyle-related disease

We review previous diagnoses, prescriptions, home measurements, and test results to decide whether treatment can safely continue online.

ONLINE CONSULTATION

What can be discussed online

We review previous diagnoses, prescriptions, home measurements, and test results to decide whether treatment can safely continue online.

  • Your condition and medicines have been stable
  • You can provide medication records and recent results
  • Home blood pressure or other measurements are available

The doctor may recommend an in-person visit or tests when online assessment is not sufficient.

POSSIBLE CONDITIONS

Symptoms and possible conditions

This may include hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and hyperuricemia previously managed at another clinic. Online continuation is possible only when sufficient medical information is available.

WHEN TO SEEK CARE IN PERSON

Seek prompt in-person care if any of these apply

These symptoms may indicate an acute complication of a lifestyle-related disease. If any of the following apply, continuation of prescriptions online is not appropriate.

Chest pain, severe shortness of breath, or neurological symptoms
Very high blood pressure with symptoms
Markedly abnormal glucose with vomiting or impaired consciousness
No medical records or a need for urgent testing

We may recommend in-person testing or specialist care

  • Recent blood or urine test results cannot be confirmed
  • Blood pressure or blood glucose is unstable
  • Worsening kidney or liver function is suspected
  • New symptoms or possible medicine side effects

If you have chest pain, breathing difficulty, weakness, impaired consciousness, or seizures, consider calling 119.

DURING YOUR CONSULTATION

What the doctor will ask

To understand your condition as accurately as possible, the doctor will review the following points in order.

  1. 01Diagnosis and when treatment began
  2. 02Current medicines, doses, and remaining supply
  3. 03Most recent blood and urine test results
  4. 04Home blood pressure, weight, and blood glucose records
  5. 05Complications and care received at other facilities
  6. 06Medicine side effects and any new symptoms

TESTS AND TREATMENT

Tests and treatment

Regular in-person tests are necessary

Lifestyle-related diseases require blood tests, urine tests, ECGs, eye examinations, and other monitoring. We combine online consultations with in-person testing.

We decide whether treatment can continue after reviewing your medical information

We review the basis of the diagnosis, test results, and previous prescriptions and assess safety before deciding on a treatment plan. The same medicine cannot always be prescribed.

If medical information is insufficient, the condition is unstable, or in-person testing is needed, we may withhold a prescription and recommend in-person care.
